Freshly Sleeved #26 - Refund a card, keep the order

One card missing from a ten-card order used to mean cancelling the whole thing. Not anymore: sellers can now refund part of an order on the spot and ship the rest. Every game in the catalog also gets new pages to browse sets, sealed products and every version of a card, and tables on the website finally fit your phone, starting with seller shops. Plus a smarter scanner in the app and a good batch of fixes.

🎯 Highlights

Instant partial refunds (web & app)

Sold a card you can't find, or one that turned out to be in worse shape than listed? Open the sale, choose the amount to give back, and the buyer is refunded right away. It works from the moment the order is paid until it's delivered, and you can do it more than once on the same order. The amount comes off your payout, the buyer also gets back the matching share of their service fee, and they're told by email, notification and in the order chat. A full refund still goes through a cancellation.

Now you can: refund the one missing card, ship the other nine, and keep both the sale and a happy buyer.

New ways to browse every game (web)

Each game's home in the catalog has been rebuilt, with new pages around it:

  • A new game page with a banner, today's biggest price movers, featured sets and answers to common questions.

  • All expansions on one page: sort them by release date or alphabetically, search by name, switch between a table and a grid.

  • Pages by product type: singles, boosters, booster boxes and sealed products for a game, each on its own page.

  • All versions of a card: every printing of a card side by side, across sets.

  • Previous / next arrows on a product page to move through a set card by card.

Now you can: look up every printing of Lightning Bolt in one place, or scan all the booster boxes available for One Piece without opening set after set.

Tables that fit your phone (web, on mobile)

Browsing a seller's shop on your phone's browser used to mean scrolling sideways, with the price and the cart button pushing the card itself off the screen. Tables now turn into compact stacked rows on small screens: the card, its details and its price sit on top of each other, with the buttons under your thumb. It applies to seller shops, your inventory, your lists, your orders, bulk import and the catalog tables.

Now you can: go through a seller's whole catalog on your phone and add cards to your cart without ever scrolling sideways.

📱 Mobile app

A new app update is rolling out.

  • Choose where a scan goes — after scanning, pick between Inventory, Sell on CardNexus or Add to a list.

  • Booster value tracker — start a session when you open a pack, scan the cards, and watch what the pack is worth against the target you set.

  • Flesh and Blood pitch colours — if the scanner picked the wrong colour, switch to the right printing in one tap; the price follows.

  • "In your lists" on a card — a card's preview shows which of your lists contain it, with quantities, and opens the list in one tap.

  • Referral rewards and contest history — see the friends you invited, your rewards and past contests.

  • More reliable — the scanner offers a card database update when it recognises a card it can't match, unread offer counts stay stable, and prices with decimals, notes on Android and the return from seller verification behave.

  • And, as usual, a ton of other little adjustments…

If you don't see the update yet, it's on its way — store rollouts happen gradually over a few days.

🃏 Catalog update

Star Wars: Unlimited

Magic: The Gathering

Flesh and Blood

One Piece Card Game

Riftbound: League of Legends TCG

✨ Improvements & fixes

Searching & browsing

  • Change printing, redesigned — the dialog shows every printing as an image, your current one first then newest to oldest, with set and release month. On a list, each card's menu now has change printing, finish, minimum condition and language one click away. (web)

  • Magic: Colour Identity the Commander way — picking colours now returns every card your commander could play, colourless included, and Colourless is its own choice in the colour filters.

  • Binder polish — the binder uses the full height of your screen with its controls on the side, foils shimmer in their pockets, the arrow keys turn pages anywhere, and the search bar stays on the binder's game. (web)

  • Reports that say which card — reporting a wrong or missing card from a product page now sends us the card's details automatically. (web)

Selling & orders

  • Packing slips you can pick from — each line prints your storage location, SKU and listing comment under the item.

  • Clearer limits — a list that reaches 2,000 products now says so instead of failing, and seller warning banners talk about your "seller account" so nobody thinks their whole account is at risk.

Apps & developers

  • Settings → Integrations is open to everyone, with an apps directory to find tools that connect to your CardNexus account. (web)

  • Public API — partial refunds, and a way for partner apps to send tracking scans. Partner sites can also send a full decklist to the Cart Wizard with a single link.

  • Added many smaller fixes, UI improvements, and performance optimizations across the platform and mobile app.

Thanks for collecting with us! 💙 Sellers, try a partial refund the next time a card goes missing — and tell us what you'd love to see next in the feedback portal.

New

Freshly Sleeved #25 - Flip through your binder

Your lists just got a page-turner: the new Binder view shows your cards in pockets, page by page, the way they'd sit on your shelf. Sellers get a setting they've asked for since day one, their own minimum order, and business sellers in the United States and Canada can finally go PRO. The app scanner now keeps a photo of every card it recognises. And a lot more…

🎯 Highlights

Binder view for your lists (web only)

Open any list and switch to Binder: your cards sit in pockets on a two-page spread, and you flip through it with a page-turn animation. Pick your page size (3×3 up to 4×4), drag a card to another pocket to arrange the binder the way you'd sort it at home, and a short tutorial walks you through it the first time. Adding a card from the search bar drops it right next to the one you selected, and anyone visiting your public list sees your arrangement. The gallery and table views are still there whenever you need them.

Now you can: build your Pokémon 30th Celebration master set list and browse it page by page, just like the real thing.

Set your own minimum order (web & app)

Sellers can now decide the smallest order they're happy to ship. In Settings → Selling → Preferences, set a minimum between roughly 2 € and 10 € (or the equivalent in your currency); it counts the items only, never shipping or fees. Buyers see your minimum in their cart and the Cart Wizard takes it into account when it picks sellers. If you don't set anything, the default minimum is now about 5 €, up from 2 €, so nobody has to post a single common for the price of a stamp.

Now you can: stop losing money on 1 € orders without turning away the bulk buyers who make selling worth it.

PRO seller accounts open in the US and Canada

Until now, PRO accounts were for European businesses only. If you sell cards as a registered business in the United States or Canada (a store, an LLC, a sole proprietor), you can now upgrade from Settings → Selling. You get a verified business identity shown on your profile, the PRO badge next to your name on listings, carts and reviews, your own Terms of Service and return policy for buyers to download, monthly fee reports for your accountant and packing slips with your business details. Canadian businesses enter their Business Number (and GST/HST number if they have one), and are paid out in US dollars. Same commission as every seller, no subscription.

Now you can: run your card shop on CardNexus with the paperwork a business needs, and let buyers see at a glance that they're dealing with a pro.

Scanner keeps your photos (in the app)

The scanner now keeps the best shot of each card and attaches it to your listing automatically; photos load at full quality, and scanning is more forgiving when the card database needs a download or a photo goes missing. Game tips cover five more card types.

Now you can: scan a stack of cards and have every listing come with its own photo, without taking a single picture twice.

📱 Mobile app

A big app update is rolling out. Some of it is already in your hands, the rest lands with the next store release.

  • List many cards for sale at once — pick cards in Inventory or a list, then price them all in one go: a percentage of market value, a fixed amount, the list's sell price, or keep what's there. The app checks prices and quantities before it publishes anything.

  • Faster selling — listing forms flag missing prices or grading details before you submit, suggested prices refresh when you change the variant, and draft listings survive if you leave and come back. Inventory items show their photo count.

  • Offers in sync — the offers inbox and chat stay in step (unread badges, "mark all read"), offer cards are clearer about their state, and each action button shows its own spinner.

  • Seller profiles, redesigned — verified sales, shipping time, completion rate and lists at a glance, and your filters survive a trip into search or an expansion.

  • Polish — a seller can't switch off every shipping zone by accident (the app suggests pausing the shop instead), the seller onboarding hand-off to the web and back is cleaner, and sticky headers, search states and login fields behave.

  • And, as usual, a ton of other little adjustments…

If you don't see the update yet, it's on its way — store rollouts happen gradually over a few days.

🃏 Catalog update

Game by game, set by set — here's what landed in the catalog since the last edition:

Naruto Mythos TCG

Pokémon

Gundam Card Game

Flesh and Blood

Echoes of Astra

One Piece Card Game

Riftbound: League of Legends TCG

Magic: The Gathering

✨ Improvements & fixes

Searching & browsing

  • Grades that mean something — the Grade filter now depends on the grading company you picked, with the special 10s (PSA 10, CCC Gold 10, PCA / BGS Black Label…) as their own tiers, and the graded cards page can sort by grade so a 10 always ranks above a 9.5. (web)

  • "Last seen" on profiles — seller and user profiles show when they were last active ("3 hours ago", "2 days ago"), right below Location and Joined. (web & app).

Selling & inventory

  • Market value of your selection — select products in Inventory or a list and the action bar shows what they're worth together. (web)

  • Language and condition in list gallery — the gallery view of a list now shows each card's language flag and condition, like Inventory does. (web)

  • Domestic shipping always on — a seller can no longer switch off shipping to their own country, which used to hide all their listings by mistake. (web & app)

  • Parcel sizes, recalibrated — the smallest shipping size (XS) now covers 1 to 3 cards instead of 1 to 5, and S starts at 4 cards (up to 25). Five sleeved cards with a toploader weigh more than a small letter allows, so sellers were paying the difference at the post office. Shipping quotes now match what you actually post.

Under the hood

  • Faster pages — every page loads noticeably less code, catalog navigation no longer re-fetches everything, and switching currency or price source no longer needs a reload. (web)

  • For developers — the Public API now exposes offers (with pricing and lifecycle webhooks), listing photos, expansion completion per user, and lets partners onboard sellers end to end.

  • Added many smaller fixes, UI improvements, and performance optimizations across the platform and mobile app.
