Shipping Your Order
How to package and ship your cards safely, add tracking, and protect yourself as a seller.

After Confirming the Order
Once you've confirmed an order, your next steps are:
Package the cards safely — proper packaging prevents damage during transit
Ship with your preferred carrier — any carrier works, as long as it provides tracking
Add the tracking number to the order on CardNexus
💡 Tip: Every order has a printable packing slip — open the order's “Packing slip” page and click “Download PDF”.
💡 Missing a card? Agree on a partial refund with the buyer in the order chat before you ship the rest — see Refunding part of an order. Never send a reduced order the buyer hasn't agreed to.
Adding a Tracking Number
After dropping off your package, go to the order in your Sales page and enter the tracking number. This:
Moves the order to Shipped status
Lets the buyer track the package in real time
Protects you in case of a dispute about delivery
Tracked shipping is the standard on CardNexus: you provide a valid tracking number when marking an order as shipped, unless the order ships as an untracked letter (see below).
CardNexus supports 1,200+ shipping carriers worldwide, so whatever service you use, we can track it.
Untracked letters
For small, low-value orders you can offer shipping as an untracked letter: a stamped envelope with no tracking number. In the United States and Canada it is on for every seller, zone by zone, with default XS and S letter prices you can change; if you'd rather not send untracked letters, turn it off in your shipping settings. In Europe, switch it on per zone and set your XS and S letter prices. It only applies to orders under the value cap for your currency, shipped inside your country or region. The buyer sees "Untracked" before buying and cannot ask for tracking instead.
When you mark an untracked order as shipped there is no tracking number to enter. In the United States, enter the barcode number from the postage label if you have one: it is what qualifies the letter for Shield cover. The order closes 10 business days after you mark it as shipped (the buyer is reminded 3 days and 1 day before) and you are paid when it closes, unless the buyer confirms receipt earlier or reports a problem.
You carry the risk of a lost letter in Europe and in Canada: if the buyer reports that it never arrived, the buyer is refunded and you receive nothing for the sale. In the United States, a letter with a scanned postage barcode is covered by CardNexus Shield at no cost; a plain-stamp letter is at your risk. Keep your proof of posting. The full rules are in the Shipping Policy.
Document What You're Sending
Before sealing your package, take photos or a video of the cards you're shipping. This protects you in case of a dispute — you'll have evidence of exactly what you sent and its condition at the time of shipping. For expensive or large orders, a short video showing each card going into the package is especially valuable.
Packaging Tips
Trading cards are delicate — here are the basics for safe shipping:
Use a toploader or card sleeve for individual cards to prevent bending
Wrap in a rigid mailer or between cardboard to prevent damage in transit
Use a bubble mailer or padded envelope for extra protection
Seal everything securely — cards shifting around during transit is the most common cause of damage

Good packaging is one of the easiest ways to get positive reviews. Buyers notice when their cards arrive well-protected.
Shipping Rates
When you became a seller, default shipping rates were assigned based on your country. These rates are what buyers pay at checkout. You can customize them in your seller settings.
Shipping is calculated by zone and package size:
Package sizes are determined automatically based on what the buyer ordered. There are five: XS (1–3 cards), S (4–25 cards), M (26–250 cards), L (251+ cards), and XL (cases). Those counts are for raw cards — graded cards always use M or larger, whatever the count.
You can also disable specific zones if you don't want to ship to certain regions — for example, disabling "Global" means your items won't appear for international buyers outside your region.
💡 Tip: In your shipping settings you can also exclude specific buyers (“Excluded Users”, with a private note only you can see) and entire countries (“Excluded Countries”).
After Shipping
Once the package is on its way, you're done! Here's what happens next:
The buyer tracks the package from their side
Delivery is confirmed automatically via tracking data
The buyer has 7 days to inspect the cards and confirm everything is good
Your funds become available 7 days after delivery, or immediately when the buyer confirms receipt
For details on when you'll get paid, see Getting Paid.
