Bulk actions: edit many cards at once
How to select multiple cards in your inventory and update, tag, list, delete, or export them all in one go.
Last updated 5 days ago
Updating cards one at a time is fine for a handful โ but when you need to change the condition of fifty cards or move a whole box to a new location, bulk actions do it in one go. This article shows you how to select multiple cards and what you can do with the selection.
Selecting cards
Both the grid and list layouts show a checkbox on every card:
Click a checkbox to select a card.
Shift+click another checkbox to select the whole range in between.
Use the checkbox in the table header to select everything at once โ you'll be asked Select all products in: This page or All pages.
As soon as something is selected, a floating bar appears at the bottom of the screen showing {n} products selected along with all the available actions.
๐ก Tip: With cards selected, press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) to open the actions menu straight from your keyboard โ no need to reach for the More actions button.
One thing to keep in mind: your selection resets whenever you change your filters. Set your filters first, then make your selection.
What you can do with a selection
The selection bar gives you these commands (some sit under More actions):
Create a new list โ start a new list containing the selected products.
Change language โ set a new language for every selected card.
Change condition โ set a new condition for every selected card. If a particular condition isn't available for some of the products, those are skipped โ you'll see a message like Skipped {n} products.
Change quantity โ add copies to or remove copies from every selected card, or set an exact quantity. One thing to know about set: it applies the same quantity to every selected card, whatever each one had before โ there's no per-card choice.
Set tags โ apply tags to all selected cards at once.
Set location โ assign all selected cards to a storage location.
Delete products โ remove the selected cards from your inventory. You'll be asked to confirm with Delete {n} products? โ this is permanent and can't be undone, so double-check your selection first.
Export selection โ download the selected cards as a file (more on this below).
List for sale โ put the selected cards up for sale, see Selling from your inventory.
Exporting your data
Your collection is yours โ you can export any part of it whenever you like. Select the cards you want, then click Export selection. You'll get two choices:
Export as List โ a simple text version of your selection, with a Copy to clipboard button so you can paste it straight into Discord or a forum post without downloading anything.
Export as CSV/JSON โ a structured file you can open in a spreadsheet or use elsewhere.
Choosing Export as CSV/JSON opens the Export Data dialog, where you pick exactly which columns to include. You'll find common properties โ quantity, name, print number, finish, expansion, game, condition, language, location, tags, comments, notes, market value, and sell value โ plus a section of game-specific fields for the game you're exporting. When you're happy with your columns, hit Download as CSV or Download as JSON.
Good to know
Exported CSV files include each card's CardNexus ID. If you ever re-import that file, every row matches back to the exact right product โ no ambiguity, no manual fixing. see Importing your inventory from a CSV.
Bulk actions only touch the cards you selected โ nothing else in your inventory changes.
If you selected All pages and then apply a filter, the selection is cleared โ you'll need to select again.
