Exploring CardNexus: Buy, Collect and Just listed
The three browsing modes explained — shop live listings, browse the full card catalog, or watch a feed of freshly listed items.
Last updated 5 days ago
When you browse cards on CardNexus, you're never looking at just one thing — sometimes you want cards you can buy right now, sometimes you want to see every card that exists, and sometimes you just want to see what's fresh. A mode toggle lets you switch between these three views. This article explains what each mode shows and when to use it.
Where to find the toggle
The mode toggle appears in two places:
On the search page, when you search for cards.
On game and expansion pages in Explore, when you're browsing a set.
Switch modes at any time — your search and filters stay put.
Buy — what's for sale right now
Buy (the cart icon) shows actual marketplace listings: real copies, from real sellers, that you can add to your cart and purchase right now. Each result is something in stock, with its price and condition.
Use Buy when you're shopping — comparing prices across sellers, filling a cart, or hunting for a specific card at the right price. For the full shopping walkthrough, see How to find cards.
Collect — the full catalog
Collect (the explore icon) shows the complete card catalog: every card we know for the game, whether or not anyone currently has it for sale. It's the encyclopedia view.
From Collect, you can add cards straight to your inventory — perfect for cataloging a collection while flipping through a binder, or checking exactly which printings exist of a card before you buy.
Use Collect when your question is "what exists?" rather than "what can I buy?": exploring a new expansion card by card, tracking down an obscure printing, or building up your collection on CardNexus.
Just listed — the freshest listings
Just listed (the fire icon) is a live feed of items sellers have just put up for sale, newest first. It's the closest thing to standing at the counter when a collection gets bought in.
Use Just listed to catch new deals before anyone else — underpriced singles, freshly listed chase cards, and restocks of things that are usually sold out. Check it regularly and you'll be first in line.
Your filters work everywhere
Whatever mode you're in, the filter sidebar is right there — game, expansion, and more, with the available filters adapting to what you're looking at. Switch from Buy to Just listed and your filters follow.
That includes Complete my lists: select one or more of your lists with the To complete status, and the results are narrowed to only the cards you still need. Combine it with Just listed to spot missing cards the moment they hit the market — see Complete your lists while you shop.
Good to know
On any card's page, the big card image tilts in 3D as you move your mouse — and clicking it pops the card out full screen. Click anywhere else to put it back.
Buy only shows cards that are actually for sale right now; Collect shows every card, available or not.
If a card shows up in Collect but not in Buy, nobody has it for sale right now — add it to a list with the To complete status and use Complete my lists to catch it when someone lists one.
