Printing a packing slip

Print a packing slip for any order you're shipping — what's on it, where to find it, and why it isn't an invoice.

A packing slip is the sheet you tuck into the parcel: what's inside, who it's for, and who it's from. CardNexus generates one for every order you sell, as a ready-to-print PDF.

Where to find it

Open the order from your Sales page. In the sidebar, click Print packing slip. It opens in a new tab with a preview and a Download PDF button. The file is named after the order number.

The button is available from the moment the order is waiting to be shipped until it's delivered, so you can also reprint one after shipping.

What's on it

  • Your details in the header. Pro sellers: company name, business address, and registration and tax numbers, as set in Your business information and legal policies. Individual sellers: your username and "Individual seller on CardNexus".

  • Order number and date.

  • Ship to — the buyer's name and delivery address.

  • Carrier & tracking — added automatically once you've marked the order as shipped with a tracking number.

  • The items, grouped by game and expansion, with a Picked checkbox column, product name, condition, language, finish, quantity, unit price and line amount.

  • Subtotal, shipping and total as paid by the buyer.

  • The IOSS or UK VAT number with a note when import VAT was collected on the order — the number customs needs to see (see How Import VAT works on CardNexus).

The packing slip is in your account language (English or French).

💡 Tip: The Picked column is there for a reason: print the slip first, tick each card as you pull it, then pack. On big orders it's the cheapest way to avoid a "missing card" dispute.

💡 A card is missing or damaged when you pick? Don't ship the order short. Agree an amount with the buyer in the order chat, then issue a partial refund before you ship — see Refunding part of an order. The packing slip keeps showing the order as it was placed, so tell the buyer which card isn't in the parcel.

It's not an invoice

The packing slip is an order summary. It isn't a fiscal invoice and doesn't replace one: if you're a Pro seller and your buyer needs an invoice, issue it from your own accounting tool, as you would for any other sales channel.
