Shield in short: what it covers, what it costs, the rules to follow, and what to do if something goes wrong.

What is CardNexus Shield?
CardNexus Shield protects your shipments against loss, theft, damage, and non-delivery (marked delivered but never received). You add it shipment by shipment when you mark an order as shipped, on web or mobile. Buyers don't see it; nothing changes on their side.
How to add it
Take photos of the contents and of the closed parcel (address, label, and stamp visible).
Click Mark as shipped and tick the Shield checkbox โ the exact price and covered amount are shown before you confirm.
For orders of โฌ200 or more (or local equivalent), confirm the extra box: your shipping service requires a signature on delivery and the parcel is packed in a rigid cardboard box โ not an envelope, bubble mailer, or cardboard envelope.
Ship the parcel the same day. Done โ the order shows an "Insured" badge.
What it costs
1% of the items subtotal (minimum โฌ0.40 or local equivalent), added to your commission and deducted from your payout when funds release. Example: a โฌ100 order costs โฌ1.00 to insure. Nothing is charged up front.
The rules
Shield only applies if these are true for the shipment:
You took the photos before shipping.
The parcel left the same day you added Shield (by 11:59 PM).
The tracking number on the order is the real one, on a tracked service that delivers within 21 days.
Orders at or above โฌ200: signature on delivery + rigid cardboard box.
If one of these isn't met, Shield doesn't apply to that shipment and the premium is the only thing you lose.
Covered โ or not
Covered: parcel lost in transit, stolen (police report), damaged in transit compared to how it left your hands, or marked delivered but never received.
Not covered: condition, authenticity or grading disputes (those go through the normal dispute flow), buyer cancellations, superficial scratches or scuffs, damage that existed before shipping, and shipments to sanctioned countries or to/from Africa.
If something goes wrong
Open a support request from the order page: within 21 days of shipping for loss or theft, within 14 days of delivery for damage or non-delivery. We'll tell you exactly which documents are needed for your case, and CardNexus pays you directly.
