Your CardNexus account holds your collection, listings, and payout info. Here's how to keep it secure.

Use a Strong, Unique Password

  • Choose a password that's at least 12 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols

  • Don't reuse passwords from other sites — if another service gets breached, your CardNexus account stays safe

  • Consider using a password manager (like 1Password, Bitwarden, or the one built into your browser) to generate and store strong passwords

Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account. Even if someone gets your password, they won't be able to log in without the second factor.

To enable 2FA:

  1. Go to Account Settings

  2. Open the Security tab

  3. Follow the steps to enable two-factor authentication

You can use an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password) to generate codes.

We strongly recommend enabling 2FA, especially if you're a seller with funds in your account.

Never Share Your Account

  • Don't share your login credentials with anyone — not friends, not family, not someone offering to "help manage" your listings

  • CardNexus staff will never ask for your password

  • Each person should have their own account

Watch Out for Phishing

Be cautious of messages (email, Discord, social media) that:

  • Ask you to click a link to "verify your account" or "confirm a payment"

  • Claim your account will be suspended unless you take immediate action

  • Come from addresses that look like CardNexus but aren't quite right

CardNexus will never ask you to provide your password via email, chat, or social media. If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from CardNexus, don't click any links — go directly to cardnexus.com instead.

Keep Your Email Up to Date

Your email address is how we reach you for:

  • Order updates and shipping notifications

  • Dispute and cancellation alerts

  • Security-related notices

Make sure your email address is current so you don't miss anything important. You can update it in your account settings.

Never Transact Outside the Platform

🚨 Be wary of buyers or sellers who ask you to complete transactions outside of CardNexus — through PayPal, bank transfer, Discord, or any other channel. If you do, you won't be protected by CardNexus's escrow, dispute resolution, or fraud detection systems. Many scams start with a seemingly friendly message asking to "deal directly." Always keep your transactions on the platform.

Report Suspicious Activity

If you notice anything unusual — a login you don't recognize, a listing you didn't create, or a message that seems off — report it immediately.
