Your business information and legal policies
The Pro seller settings page — where your business details live, how to publish your Terms of Service and returns policy, and what buyers see on your profile.
Last updated About 4 hours ago
Everything about your business lives in one place: Settings → Selling → Pro seller. Three sections: your business information, your legal policies, and your fee reports (covered in Fee reports: your monthly invoice and CSV).
Business information
This section shows your company name, your registration and tax numbers (registration number and VAT number in Europe, EIN in the United States, Business Number and GST/HST number in Canada) and your business address — the details printed on your fee invoices, on your packing slips, and shown to buyers.
Identifiers are locked once set. Your company name and your registration and tax numbers are verified with Stripe during onboarding and can't be edited here. If one of them is wrong or has changed, contact support.
A field is missing? It stays editable until it's filled in. An Incomplete badge and a short list tell you what's still needed — for instance a VAT number you didn't have at onboarding.
Address. It's pre-filled from Stripe. If it's incomplete, you can fill it in here; once complete, it's locked too. Your listings stay hidden until the address is complete.
💡 Tip: Not VAT registered (for example under the French franchise en base)? Tick I am not VAT registered rather than leaving the field empty — otherwise the page keeps flagging it as missing. In Canada, the same goes for I am not GST/HST registered.
Legal policies
As a professional seller, you're generally required to provide your buyers with your terms of sale and your returns policy. This section is where you publish them:
Terms of Service — your selling terms and conditions.
Return & Refund Policy — your return, refund and cancellation policy.
Click Upload PDF under either one. PDF only, up to 10 MB.
Every upload is a new version. The latest one is marked Current and is the one buyers see; earlier versions are kept as Superseded so there's always a record of what applied when — useful if a dispute is ever raised on an older order. Versions can be downloaded but not deleted.
Your policies supplement CardNexus's own rules; they don't replace them. Buyer protection, disputes and cancellation timelines on CardNexus continue to apply to your orders.
What buyers see
On your public profile, buyers get an About {your username} button. It opens a panel with:
Business information — company name, registration and tax numbers, and business address.
Legal policies — download links to the current version of each policy you've uploaded.
The button appears as soon as your business verification is complete, or as soon as you upload a policy. Your PRO badge shows on your listings, in carts, on your profile and on your reviews.
💡 Tip: Open your own profile in a private browser window to check what buyers see — the About panel isn't shown to you when you're logged in as yourself.
